Public Work Group for Heavy-Duty and Off-Road Investments for Fiscal Year 2021-22 Funding Plan Development (4/9/2021)

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in a virtual public work group meeting for the Low Carbon Transportation Program clean transportation heavy-duty and off-road investments. The Governor’s Fiscal Year 2021-22 Budget proposal includes $465 million for Low Carbon Transportation Investments using Cap-and-Trade auction proceeds from 2020-21 and 2021-22 budget years, with a total of $315 million for heavy duty and off-road investments.

This work group will include discussion of potential heavy-duty demonstration and pilot project categories, as well as potential changes to the Clean Truck and Bus Voucher project (HVIP), the Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher project (CORE), and the Truck Loan Assistance Program. The work group will also introduce and seek input on the new Innovative Small e-Fleets project focusing on small owner/operator fleets in disadvantaged communities.
