New Zeroing in on ZETs 2023 Market Update Report
The third publication in CALSTART’s Zeroing in on Zero-Emission Trucks series is now available. This market update, funded through the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), provides deployment statistics for U.S. Class 2b-8 zero-emission trucks (ZETs) and characterizes the existing U.S. medium- and heavy-duty (MHD) truck market as of December 2022. It highlights that in 2022 alone, 3,510 MHD ZETs were deployed across the country, surpassing deployments of the previous five years (2017–2021) combined.
