Application Window Closed for HVIP Public School Bus Set-Aside; Standard HVIP Funds Still Available
The initial 90-day application window for Application Part A of the HVIP Public School Bus Set-Aside for Small and Medium Air Districts (Public School Bus Set-Aside) closed on June 28th at 5 p.m. Pacific. Due to the high volume of applications received, we will not accept applications beyond the initial 90-day application window.
Applicants who submitted an Application Part A will be notified of their funding status in July. An applicant will move on to Application Part B after being notified directly by HVIP staff; they will have 30 calendar days to work with an HVIP-approved dealer to submit Application Part B, and to select the specific school bus(es) they want to purchase.
Funding remains available through standard HVIP for those who missed the Public School Bus Set-Aside application window or did not qualify for funding through the Set-Aside. Please visit the HVIP Funding page for daily updates on HVIP funding availability.
Please reach out to SchoolBusTeam@CALSTART.org if you need any assistance or to subscribe to updates.
