Implementation Work Group Meeting: FY23-24 Clean Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) (3/26/2024)

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to a workgroup on HVIP implementation, including changes approved by the Board in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24 Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives. The meeting agenda will be posted to the Low Carbon Transportation Investments and Air Quality Improvement Program website ahead of the meeting.

The work group meeting will be held via Zoom webinar at the following date and time:

To participate in the work group, please register prior to the meeting.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information to join the webinar either through a computer, digital device or via conference line. Each meeting link in the confirmation email is unique so please do not share it with others. Every person that wishes to participate needs to register separately and use the unique link sent to them to access the webinar. Please note that there is no in-person attendance option for this meeting. This workgroup meeting will be recorded, and the recording and participation list will be made available to the public via CARB’s webpage. The meeting may end prior to the specified end time if all questions and comments are addressed prior to the designated webinar end time. A link to the recording will be available two weeks after the meeting date on the Low Carbon Transportation Investments Meetings and Workshops page.

Background

California Climate Investments and Low Carbon Transportation Funding: The Low Carbon Transportation program is part of California Climate Investments, a statewide program that puts billions of Cap-and-Trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy and improving public health and the environment, particularly in disadvantaged communities. CARB’s Low Carbon Transportation Program is designed to accelerate the transition to low carbon freight and passenger transportation with a priority on providing health and economic benefits to California’s most disadvantaged communities. These investments also reduce ozone precursor emissions and toxic diesel particulate emissions, supporting the State’s goals in these areas.

The Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) was established by the California Alternative and Renewable Fuel, Vehicle Technology, Clean Air, and Carbon Reduction Act of 2007 (AB 118, Statutes of 2007, Chapter 750). Each year, the legislature appropriates funding to CARB for these incentives to reduce emissions and support advanced technology demonstrations and deployments.
