Public Transit Bus Set-Aside
Note: When Public Transit Set-Aside funds are unavailable, transit vouchers may be funded through Standard HVIP and will adhere to the rules and requirements laid out in Appendix H.
The Public Transit Bus Set-Aside provides funding for transit agencies subject to the Innovative Clean Transit Regulation that are purchasing eligible transit buses in excess of regulatory targets. When funds are available, voucher requests are submitted by HVIP-approved dealers on behalf of transit agencies and processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligible transit agencies interested in participating should identify an HVIP-eligible bus from the vehicle catalog to purchase, contact the HVIP-approved dealer affiliated with that bus, and work with the dealer to create a purchase order.
